The theme of the Leolux stand at Salone del Mobile is 'Double Up'. The exhibition space evolves with each individual interpretation, making ‘Double Up' a play on perception through the power of multiplication. As you change perspective, colours follow, changing the mood and setting a new scene. It elevates the experience and presents a fresh, contemporary view of the objects and space around you.
The walls around you tell the story of how materials can have multiple lives. They are made of recycled paper and constructed in such a way that the material can be reused after the exhibition. The paper also has an aesthetic value. The crumpled texture of the walls shows the character and fragility of the material.
The absolute premiere on the Milan stand is the new Sen lounge chair, a design that immediately evokes a feeling. This is no coincidence, as the designers at the Canadian design studio Yabu Pushelberg were inspired by Leolux's dynamic and progressive design history. The chair consists of two inverted U-shaped silhouettes, within which the same shape is repeated four times, each time one step larger. This repetition is reminiscent of ripples on water. A rhythmic movement that brings an aesthetic calm to the design.
As well as Sen, the models we launched earlier this year will of course be fully represented in Hall 24. For example, our Modius sofa, the Lodey armchair and the Vynn and Conka dining set. There will also be room for the Foliage rug, Canopy tables and the Bolmin pouf series, as well as other popular models by Studiopepe, Hanne Willmann and many other top international designers.
