After a highly successful edition of Milan Design Week in 2023, another participation in this world event was bound to happen. At Salone del Mobile, the fair at Fiera Milano in the Rho district, we showed our exhibition 'Soft Mass', designed by Studio Truly Truly. We would like to take you on a journey through the beautiful products and stories at the stand.
This Leolux presentation at Salone del Mobile was based on the principle of 'Soft Mass': filling out a 2D material such as fabric or leather with volume. At our stand in hall 14, we visualised this principle with a composition of light curtains, which manifested themselves as soft volumes. They surrounded visitors with softness, as a direct reference to the soothing comfort of Studio Truly Truly's new Leolux sofa Loya.
Naturally, our new model Loya was one of the main highlights at the stand. The unconditional comfort, the architectural design and the many possibilities of the programme attracted a lot of interest from the international public, just like at the Cologne furniture fair. By the way, if you're interested in Loya yourself, you don't have to go to Milan right away, because it's already waiting for you in the showroom at our dealers and, of course, at the Leolux Experience Center in Breukelen.
This year is a real jubilee year for Leolux. Not only does our company exist for 90 years; Pallone, one of our most recognisable models, is also celebrating a beautiful milestone. The armchair has been part of our collection for exactly 35 years in 2024 and we are commemorating it with the beautiful new 'Pallone Soft Seasons' series. A small revolution in itself, as this is the first series of Pallones ever to come with a seat in fabric: the beautiful bouclé Robou.
On the floor of our Milan stand was the successful result of a unique experiment. In collaboration with Studio Truly Truly and artist/designer Leentje van Hengel of studio Tinctoria, we created a special edition of the Valleys rug. Here, the rug was first folded in a specific way and then immersed in a bath of natural dyes. The result is two rugs with a unique pattern, showing how the pigments found their way through the rug. You will soon read a full report of this intriguing experiment on our website.
Of course, there was much more to see and experience at our stand in Milan. And so we put together a photo reportage, which gives you a nice impression of our presentation.
